IS THERE ANYBODY THERE? .....

Hello WWW - is there anybody there? I am stuck inside my computer and I cant get out. Well its either my computer or a very hot place .... with sulphur smells.... and nasty people.... or maybe its just my place of work.

AM I BACK?

The title is very interesting - am i back? In truth only time will tell.

After my recent transformation into a grumpy grizzly bear - I dont really know what the future has in store for me. I had the misfortune of working all weekend which triggered my mutation. Although I did not get a lovely warm coat.

As you will have noticed that I have been absent for a very long period of time. I hope I am back.

Woozer

Woozer you are the best dog in the world. Thank you for staying with us for 15 years. Please God you are now in Heaven with Angel, Muffin, Sheba and Cino and Dada. I cant wait to see you again.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON

The countdown is on....... this time next week me and Inky will be in New Zealand - living out the biggest adventure of our lives.

HELLO FANS

Hello my fans - I am sorry that i have been so bad at posting lately - unfortunately a terrible terrible thing has got in my way - work!!!

Anyway some very exciting news - tomorrow week, myself and my best friendie are off to New Zealand for a whole month of adventures. We have a whole list of places to see and things to do. I wonder will i meet any other monsters!!!

We are going to set up a special blog - the link will be mailed to everyone (in the world) .

Once we get over the jet lag we will be posting every day.

I am sad

I am very sad to say goodbye to Humphries. Unfortunately he has to go back to his nasty owner. Humphries you are brilliant, i love you dearly. If it was in my power i would resue you and make sure you have a very happy life. Thanks for the lovely lessons. XXXX

HUMPHRIES

I was lucky enough to have a lesson on Humphries recently. He is a wonderful horse, extremely gentle and kind. This was my second lesson on him. I progressed from a very nervous slow walk to actually doing rising trot correctly. I am extremely happy that i have achieved this difficult feat. I am anxiously waiting my third lesson (booked for today) however it is dependent on the weather. So thanks Humphries - you are fab!!!!

HATS OFF TO WRITERS

Recently i had the experience of attempting to compose a short story in order to enter a wonderful competition. i thought that it would be easy- How wrong i was!- i planned my strategy - writing X number of words per day in order to meet the deadline imposed. i struggled day by day to even write enough rubbish to met my word count. i found that i had no creative juices at all and found the whole experience very very tough. (needless to say i did not enter my story to the competition) So i say HATS OFF TO WRITERS - i have the upmost respect for you.

My fathers birthday

How can i let today, the 14th August, pass without wishing my beloved father a very happy birthday. I miss you big time and I look forward to the day when I will be with you again. Love always #9

WORK STRESS

I think work stress is a terrible disease of the modern world. Employers don't put enough structures in place to ensure that employees have only manageable stress levels. There are times when I want to cry - I know it relates to work stress or when someone in work has been unpleasant to me. I say it is a disease because it is spreading fast. It needs to be addressed by law, I think, to ensure that a third party comes in and measures peoples levels. I know the modern thought is that all is fair in the quest for money - but the real price is getting bigger and bigger!!!

Horses (and Michele) are wonderful

I had the great pleasure of meeting some horses yesterday. I met JB, Cori and Humpries. JB is a beautiful brown horse with black mane and tail. He stood very still while I brushed him down and tried to detangled his mane. He muzzle is soooo soft - its amazing. I thought he looked really well and it was the first time that i couldnt see his ribs. I met his best friend Cori who is a beautiful black and white horse. We brushed him outside while at the same time he was determined to say hello to his friend Megan - who was also being brushed outside. Cori is a fab horse with lots of spirit (as is JB). I really enjoyed brushing them and being with them - i found it very soothing and i was delighted not to be afraid of them at all. Poor Humpries had the unpleasant task of taking me for a walk. He stood patiently while i kneed him in the back as i clampered over him. i later found out that one is not allowed to knee horses in the back. Then he took really good care of me as Michele kindly lead us around the arena and the field. I ahve to say that i really enjoyed the day and i look forward to my next outing, trying my hand at grooming and riding. Many thanks to the wonderful Michele for her patience and kindness yesterday.

The little things...

I just want to say how great God is and how good he is to me. Some people may laugh at my little examples of Gods greatest - but I dont care. It is often said (i think) that the little things in life matter and helping people in the little things show that you care. Let me give you some examples of how God has helped me over the last couple of days: - 1) I went shopping last night and I love baked potatoes. Normally on a Monday evening there isnt any left, so I said a very quick prayer that there would be some and also some nice veg to go with them - and guess what there was not only spuds but the veg as well. 2) I have a very bad habit of leaving my car in a pay zone and not paying enough for the parking. Each evening as i leave work I promise a mass for the holy souls that my car isnt clamped. Since i have started this practice i havent been clamped. Please note that i have turned a new leaf and am leaving the car at home. Today the clampers were around - my car was at home. 3) This morning after mass I drove to the road i usual park on in order to get the Luas to work. Normally at 8.00 the spaces are a relatively long walk away - ie 5ish mins as opposed to 2 mins (and uphill in the evenings). I said a little prayer that i would get parking close and i did.
These a very small examples of the glory of God - how good He is me. I love it when i recognise his gentle touch in my day as then I know that He is watching me and looking after me. I am looking forward to meeting Him face to face ( after many years of purifying) in order to express my gratitude for His kindness. I feel so sorry for all the poor people who dont know Him.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON

I have had a very brief unplanned plan from the thoughts - but now i am back for today anyway. I have suffering from a Friday afternoon slump - my thoughts are drifting towards the weekend - sleep, food, play and sleep. I cant seem to concentrate on my employment - and worse of all my post. Why are Friday afternoons so much quieter than all other parts of the week (i am not complaining). Why cant Friday afternoons go faster and why does the weekend go so fast? When I meet my guardian Angel i am going to ask him all these questions.

NO TIME

Every since i have come back from my adventure i feel like i am in a world of no time - no time to iron, no time to get my work done, no time to chill, no time to watch tv, no time to play with a cute little puppy, no time to read my ever growing mountain of unread books. If i had a magic wand - what would i do???? There are so many things i would like to do .... (Thank God i dont have a magic wand because i would probably misuse it.) Time can be strange - it is always now , yet people think about the past and the future - yet there is no such thing. I always think time travelling in movies is soo annoying - its not possible and they always mess up the time paradox. I know there is no time in Heaven - yet i cannot imagine what that is like. The same way i cannot understand how the universe is finite - i dont understand.. dont understand... cannot compute... cannot...... canno.......
