I'M BACK

The Monster is back. I have been away on a very important mission - "how to relax". It took all my know how and skill but I think I achieved it. I even turned a bit purple - (is that a good sign). More random thoughts later !!!

Missing in action

My random thought today is about the fact that i will not be able to post for the next 8 days - i will be on a very important mission that can not be disclosed. I will miss my only way of articulating randomness - unfortunately the world does not understand me nor does it appreciate my thought patterns.

Mondays :(

Why do Mondays come around sooo quickly. It only seemed like an hour ago i was sitting at my desk in work - and here i am again. I was driving in this morning and all that went through my head was all the problems that i will be encountering this week. I had planned to get up at 5 to be in work before 6, but my magical bed kept me locked up until 6.40. I am glad now. Next Monday I will be in Portugal so at least I wont have the same issue.
"I dont like Mondays" was a very clever song.

James Joyce

What is the fascination with James Joyce and his rubbish book Ulysses. I have the unpleasant task of attending a lunch every year that honours the book. This year we had an added unpleasant surprise in that David Norris recited (yes recited) an unpleasant part from the book. As far as I can see there is only unpleasant parts in that book. It is very sad that he (JJ) and that book is linked to be Irish. Oh to have the reputation of the land of the Saints and Scholars (and monsters) again.
On a lighter note, I was at a table of 9, one person won two tickets to go to The Who, another person won two tickets to go to some other concert and a third person won a DVD player. The Monster didnt win anything (and ate 1 and 1/2 deserts).

My Best friendie

I would like to dedicate a post to my best friendie. She had a very unexpected break from normal life over the last two days. She is wonderful in every way and has inspired me very much over my life. At the risk of sounding repetitive my life is sweeter because of her. (love ya). i hope they release you soon !!! :)

Tom Crean

I went to a one man show last night in the Olympiad - the show was on Tom Crean, the Irish explorer who went three times to the Antartic in the early 20th Century. The one man was excellent - not only did he act in the show but he also wrote it. The best thing about it was the topic - it was fasinating - we heard about the three explorations - about how these men suffered and how the lucky few survived. The men were so brave - i would love to know what drove them to go on this dangerous adventure and what kept them alive in the fierce conditions.

Woozer

I would like to pay tribute to the most wonderful dog in the world - Woozer. She is a beautiful black and white collie mix breed and I have known her since her birth - just over 14 years ago. I can truly say that my life has been much richer because of her. She is a fanatic footballer, fetcher, barker, chaser. She is so gentle and loving to her pack and would protect us till death. The years have flown by .... I love you Woozer - you are the best XXXX.
